I was a Web developer for about 6 years and I still love doing it, but I decided about 4 months ago to do this site using WordPress, which is really known more as blogging software. Here is why I made the switch
1. It’s free and it comes with lots of free templates.
2. It is easy to install. Hostgator has a one-click install.
3. It helps you get better traffic to your site as it has a bunch of SEO functions.
4. It is interactive-i.e your viewers can send you comments.
5. It is easy to link to other people’s sites and for them to link to yours helping your search engine rankings.
6. If you update your blog frequently, you will get a lot more viewers.
7. It has an RSS feed so your viewers can subscribe to it just as if it were a magazine.
