I have spent a lot of time trying to decide what would be the most useful information to place on this blog. What can I contribute that is different than what everyone else is doing? Honestly, I do not consider myself much of a writer and I don’t have these passionate opinions on everything. I’m not controversial and I don’t like selling or persuading. There is one thing I do like to do and that is share things I’ve learned. Not life lessons or business philosophies, but really practical things-”How to” types of things. My background is really Instructional Technology which is all about teaching with technology. Now I am a Virtual Assistant and I want to use technology to help other VAs learn things the easier way. Things like “how to add an RSS feed to your blog” or ” how to put Google Analytics on a clients Website”. Stuff that my clients have paid me for but took me a lot of time to figure out. My best way to learn is to watch something being shown to me so I am going to try to create a lot of posts using video technologies such as Webcasts and plain old audio files. I also want to show you some neat tools I have found to make life a little easier for us when we are working with clients. I’ll try to write at least three time a week, but with two young kids it might be tough-many of you know how it is.
