O.K. So your client may have a few teleclasses under their belt and they feel pretty good about them. Technically, it is pretty hard to mess up a teleclass. Now they think they are ready for the next step. Something visual and more interactive. Something that will set them apart from all the other coaches, consultants, Internet Gurus that are just offering their information over the phone.
So, as a savvy Virtual Assistant you turn them on to the possibility of conducting “Webinars”. You explain that a “Webinar” will allow people to view your client’s screen and interact in a completely new way. The viewers can see their PowerPoint slides, be taken to their Website or go on a field trip to other Websites. During the Webinar your client can also show their desktop applications or any other applications on the Web. Webinars give viewers a more rich, entertaining experience and makes many things much more comprehensible. But, compared to teleclasses, Webinars are technically more challenging to set up and record. That is why you need to do your homework before you start offering this service to your clients. First a few key terms you need to know.
Teleclass: A class delivered over audio only
Podcast: An audio delivered regularly usually using an RSS feed
Webinar: An interective, live delivery of audio/video over the web to a group of people
Webcast: A one-way delivery of audio/video over the web-sometimes prerecorded.
Screencast: A demo, often of software, you record with Camtasia
Now take a look at my 7 minute demo below to see 2 examples of Webinars I have recorded recently. In my next lesson I will begin showing you what you need to know as a VA who wishes to offer this service to your clients.
Thanks for watching!
