You might have thought you needed one because everyone was talking about them, but the concept of what one actually was eluded you.  Of course, now that you are a savvy VA you know what a blog is, but can you explain it to your client? Direct your clients to this demo whenever you need to explain the whole “blog ” concept.  I discovered their Twitter video on Lynn Terri’s Internet Marketing blog and it really helped me to understand why anyone would spend time on Twitter.  Eventually you will want to watch that video too.

I think Lee and Sachi LeFever, who make these Common Craft videos, are so innovative in the way they help explain these new Web 2.0 concepts to the world. I need to take some time to create demos like these!

1. It’s free and it comes with lots of free templates.

2.  It is easy to install.  Hostgator has a one-click install.

3.  It helps you get better traffic to your site as it has a bunch of SEO functions.

4. It is interactive-i.e your viewers can send you comments.

5.  It is easy to link to other people’s sites and for them to link to yours helping your search engine rankings.

6. If you update your blog frequently, you will get a lot more viewers.

7.  It has an RSS feed so your viewers can subscribe to it just as if it were a magazine.
